Every studio is looking for the next Harry Potter franchise. Fox has certainly tried (and failed) with The Seeker: The Dark is Rising and City of Ember. Now comes thier new film Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief [PJALT] about another boy who discovers he has hidden powers. Rather born to wizard parents, Percy answers to an even higher calling, he's a descendant of Greek Gods. Fox hired Christopher Columbus [CCOLU] so they can put this teaser trailer in front of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince [HPOT6] with the tagline 'From the director of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'. I suppose 'From the Director of I Love You, Beth Cooper' just doesn't have the same ring to it.
