Setting a new opening weekend box office best for the action series, John Wick: Chapter 4 [WICK4] finished in first place with an estimated $73.525 million. The previous high was 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum at $56.8 million. The sequel brought out a crowd that was 69% males and 70% over the age of 25.
Last weekend’s top film Shazam! Fury of the Gods [SHAZ2] dropped 68% in its second weekend to $9.7 million. The superhero sequel stands at $46.3 million.
