Hey sbv man. I have an answer inside.
I feel like I have a unique perspective on this question because I also played for about 5 years and only made $30M. However, I didn't spend very much time learning how to make money fast on this site.
In general, I would say that the average amount of time (this is a guess) is about 6 years. So, in this estimate's regime, I would say you are behind pace (I had a similar pace as you).
However, now I am on pace to make a billion in 10-12 months. How can you get to this rate? Now that's a whole other question. My answer:
1) Learn how to play starbonds. They are a for-sure bet.
2) Day trade: that is, watch the 'Movies' forums for news that is posted frequently. If positive news about a movie pops up (say a writer is penned, director is attached, actor joins, poster comes out, etc), buy it (if it's negative, short it). Then, watch to see when that stock stops going up (usually at the end of the day) and sell it (cover it).
3) Play the weekend openers and their derivatives. These stocks, in general, tend to move the most and thus have the greatest potential for profit if you play it right.
