..and beware of anyone who tells you differently.
TYPICALLY, (but NOT always) stocks with huge adjusts, will drop in price since many players want to free up cash to buy other things. It's not unusual to see a stock that adjusts to $300, drop 10-20 points after adjusts.
Do you think the movie will have "legs" and delist higher than what it adjusted to? If so, then you may want to hold onto it. If you don't think it will delist higher that its adjust price, then perhaps you may want to sell it and take the cash and move on.
Many movies do NOT delist higher than their adjust price, so you have to go with what YOU think a movie will do. Personally, I've found that HSX is pretty good at predicting where a movie will delist at with their 2.7 adjust ratio, and most (NOT ALL) do not delist over that number.
You really have to decide on your own if you feel the movie has good word of mouth, good opening, and is still under priced where YOU think it will delist at, then I'd say hold onto it - IF you have the cash to do so...otherwise, you may want to sell off and use the cash other places that you can make more $$ on.
Good luck.
