Playing & Trading Strategy

I would say constantly assessing where I'm at in the game helps me

Lot of aspects/elements to this game and you should think about how you play and where you can improve in all of them.

Am I maximizing my gains on bonds? Is my use of capital the most efficient way to go about it?.... someone plays JSEGE 1 month ago and made 48% on their money....someone plays JSEGE at 5pm yesterday and made 37.5% on their money.....which way did you play and was it the best course of action?

Do I daytrade well? Is there an aspect to daytrading that I'm not doing or don't understand? Am I holding things in the most efficient ways?

Am I playing the game at the right times of day? Am I maximizing my calender usage (IE bond adjusts, deriv weds, etc)? Will playing more help or hurt?

Guessing you're on top of breaking news since I think I've run into you in the movie forum;). But what happens to the stock when certain types of news breaks by the end of the day and do you know how to play it? What kind of news do I use to stay long on and what kind of news do I play short term? Am I taking volume held on the moviestock I'm trading into account (110mill long on a stock i just bought....how many more people around to buy it to make it go up +2% if I'm not playing  it to adjust)?

All that is my long process of saying find ways to get better at the stuff you might not be the best at, find other ways to play and see if they work for you, and take it from there.

Currently assessing myself and not happy w/my efficiency so its a neverending process (YTD at least, can't speak for the big boys).

Having spent 13 years to get to $200 million but significantly less to do the next $158 i may not be an expert blaze223 Jun 05, 11:22

I have no quick reply for "quick reply" box except to say "more inside" Dave3626 Jun 05, 13:17

i'd say that JSEGE and the other 2 big % bonds yesterday were more circumstance driven alfpaulytd2012 Jun 05, 13:58

Part of the fun of the game is to adjust your strategy as your port grows... slappydavid Jun 05, 13:17

Yeah, for a while slappy and I had the same strategy and did really well, but it gets exhausting and you start having lots of cash lay aroun PRodNano Jun 05, 13:24

The "old strategy" was what exactly? If you don;t me asking, that is.. {nm} Dave3626 Jun 05, 13:27

You're stuck in a rut? That's interesting because we started our accounts at nearly the same time and we have almost the same $. 121Jigowatts Jun 05, 14:19
