Here's my response - all in one post.
The purpose of the column is to assist traders who are completely new to HSX, not people aiming for the YTD leaderboard. I also wanted to have a target that would work as well for a $2 million port as a $10 million port. So I deliberately selected low growth targets.
I put calls and puts for Friday because a $2 million port might not want to tie up the cash on Wednesday.
The Earn H$ is so low because new players won't know the answers to the questions as well as an experienced player, and because I'd like the meet the person who actually gets Cold Cash 4-5 times a month.
It is focussed on moviestocks and starbonds because those are the core concepts of the game and what a new player should become familiar with. Investing in funds comes later, for ports that are larger than this column is aimed at helping. NominOptions, AwardOptions and TV stocks are only IPOd at certain times of the year, so including them in this column would be of limited value.
I found having a spreadsheet to be enormous help to me. It sets a ritual, it helps in setting targets and monitoring your performance, and with enough data it gets you used to the timing of the swings during the year. No one has to follow my advice if they don't want to.
The point of the multiple ports column is to give guidance on the manipulation rules and how not to be seen as a manipulator. I'm not going to specify every different type of port traders might like to run - I used LTD and YTD ports as an example because it is the most common example.
I'll updatefor the points related to starbond halts and trading stocks in multiple ports while they are halted.
