You realize that stocks 'can' go up OR down, right? Remember this game is played all over the world....

and while it may be 4am for you, it may be 10 in the morning for someone else....
The fact that a stock drops 3 points over night is not that uncommon. If you've kept an eye on any of the movie stocks opening this week, you'll find that many have dropped more than that just this week...
You're complaining about the basic tenents of the game...the key is to figure out how to buy stocks that go up, and NOT buy (or short) stocks that go down.
And again...the reason HSX does not allow 'stop loss' orders, is to prevent people from manipulating stock prices. I could have stop loss orders set to sell 100 stocks that drop one point, then buy them if they go back up 1 point....these could be set all day long. HSX continues to say they will NOT allow stop loss orders, so we best stop asking for them.
If every stock in your port drops in price when you go to bed, then I'd re-evaluate your stock buying strategy. My guess is, as long as the stocks you own long go UP in price, you have no complaint??
When it's all said and done, remember the key to the game is to make profits, and ALL of us lose money on stocks that we own....but remember: "It's ONLY play money, it's ONLY play money."

maybe you should re-evaluate why you own these stocks, or your timeframe ndmaster Nov 06, 21:47
I like that there's no down time, it's much more dynamic. Sure the risks are higher but that's part of the fun. {nm} ArtemisDean Nov 06, 09:26
