It also depends what is happening in the market. Lots of movies making money means higher average daily gains. Similarly lower grosses or a single big disappointment can take the froth out of the market. So last spring with Hunger Games and its knock on effects I was probably around 4-5m a day, this year it would have been 3-4m a day.
there are intraweek swings as well. Monday and Tuesday are regularly good days. The weekend might be good, but if the adjusts are uninteresting they are more likely to be flat.

I tend to average around 3-4 mil per day during weekdays and bit lower during weekends May 14, 17:57
