It really depends on the stock. In the beginning I did what you did. Now I sell off stock that looks to have reached its peak so I can buy new IPOs or stock that is going into production and the value is going up. Like many people did, I sold off lots of shares so I could buy 100,000 shares of STAR9 but knowing that STAR7 was going to cash out a day later I'd be able to buy back the stocks that I had sold off.
