I'm assuming that this has already been discussed, perhaps multiple times, in this forum, but I don't think there is a way to search by topic. At least, I haven't found one. That said, if the answer has already been provided elsewhere, forgive the repeated question, and please send me the link.
In regards to the trailing average gross (TAG) of any StarBond, is it calculated using the delist prices of past movies, the total gross, or a combination of the two?
To provide the example that has caused my confusion, take a look at Christopher Mintz-Plasse (CMINT). He adjusted today with the delisting of Neighbors 2. My assumption was that he was to adjust to $70.76 taking into account the delist prices of the four movies that preceeded Neighbors 2. However, he adjusted to $82.47. In doing the math, I realize that he has been given credit for the total gross of the preceeding four movies, which obvsiously increased the value of the adjusted TAG.
I feel I may be answering my original question by writing all that out, but if someone could confirm or correct me, I'd appreciate it.
As a follow up question, does anyone know why there is that inconsistency? When calculating TAG, shouldn't it be ONLY delist prices or ONLY total gross, to avoid confusion?
