Unless you have a really good feel for the stock, you're missing my point.
Sometimes you just trade a stock badly, we all do. In that case, I give up and walk away from it. Other times, if you have time, and it appears to be way undervalued or overvalued, the daily squiggles don't matter. It's a different time horizon.
For instance, for the first time in, well, ever, I have three stocks that have negative value in my port. All happened within the last 24 hours. I'm not doing anything because I don't think the current prices will last.
