any cantor players, i have a question
Posted by: islander (a.k.a del_USA_islander) on Mar 06, 07:09
I am trying to wrap my head around the cantor concept and something strikes me as weird:
Isnt there a lot of risk for cantor with a real xchange?
Heres what I'm thinking: I looked at Cantor and saw Alice ICO'd at 192.50. Now lets just say it hits a 4 week total of 300. Its Cantor that has to make up that difference of 107.50 a share, right? Now I know theres commission and fees, and also some films that wont hit their ico price (wolfman ico'd at like 80 and will cash out at like 60, so thats money investors directly lose and goes to cantor), but 100+ a share is a lot of money to pay out, so what im wondering is:
Should I just assume Cantor did their math and knows long term that they will come out ahead, or
is it possible that a few surprise hits could empty out their cash?
Or am I missing some big concept that makes this all moot? Thanks, and sorry for my ignorance
