So what makes a stock move?
I assume there is a built-in algorithm here that says "when X shares of a stock are bought or covered, increase its value by Y". Same goes for selling and probably shorting? So if a stock isn't moving at all, I assume this means nobody is buying or selling?
I'm trying to figure out how a stock manages to move so much at midnight. Is it really the case that a lot of players like to spend a lot of money right at day change?
