Is it just me or are stocks nosediving before opening weekend?

Usually I'd see them rise in price until the day of the release date and then drop over the weekend. But the last couple of weeks, a few of my stocks have started nosediving during midweek. Doesn't make sense to me. Have they changed the background mechanics of how the prices are calculated?
