It's an easy way to check your port to see if the stocks have changed without having to look at the graph. If a stock seems to have minimal
movement over time then selling/covering it and then re-buying/shorting puts your change back to zero. So if you check a days or weeks later you can see whether the stock has change much without looking at a graph.
I wouldn't do this for an expensive stock, but for the low priced stocks it's worth the commish to save time and hassle. And I do it alot for stocks under H$1 where the commission is neglible.
