Needing Advise on Calls and Puts.

So I bought 10,000 in Furry Vengeance 10MPut at $2.00.  Shortly thereafter, the "Put" took a nose dive and now I'm down big.  If Furry hits 10M this weekend, will I make anything back?  Or was the right move to sell as soon as it started to free fall?  Can some one explain this to me?
