1. CALLS & PUTS - Many Traders Purchase & Hold both CALLS & PUTS in the LONG Position, especially for High-Value M/S (MovieStocks). This Strategy Guarantees PROFITS where the OW Box Office is +/- 4.00 than the Strike Price. If the Strike Price were, say, 30.00 & the OW Ended at 35.60, the PROFIT would be 25,000 Shares x (5.60 - 4.00) = $40,000.00. The Exact Same PROFIT would be generated if the OW Ended at 24.40. A LOSS would be generated if the OW Ended between 26.00 & 34.00. This is the Perfect Strategy for ALL Blockbusters unless there is a Compelling Reason to Hold one of them in the SHORT Position (e.g. - SPID8.PU).
When RotoHockeyYTD2014 was a Small Port in January 2014, one of the key Strategies was to BUY both the CALLS & PUTS LONG on WED & then SELL both Thursday Night after both had generally Increased in Value.
The ROTO Strategy when the Port was Under 20 MILL was a Maximum 24-Hour HOLD on anything, preserving CASH.
2. M/S IPO Under 5.00 in Value - Invariably nearly ALL Decrease in Value in Next-Day Trading. When the ROTO Port was Under 100 MILL, the Strategy was to SHORT them at IPO & COVER the Next Night for a PROFIT.
3. CONCEPT M/S are Dead Ducks. It is incredibly Rare that a CONCEPT M/S makes it back to the Development Stage. Holding CONCEPT M/S SHORT generates tidy PROFITS when they Bite the Salty Pickle of Pardinky (Dead Delist CashOut), generally every 3-4 Months with No Commission on the Dead Delist CashOut.
4. The ROTO SHORT Strategy - typically the ROTO Port Holds 92% - 96% of ALL M/S in the SHORT Position as 92% to 96% of ALL M/S Trend Downward. Here's the PROOF (TOP Gainers for 2021):
