SPECIAL RECITATION: SPIDEY CASH!
SPID8 has delisted; it was a spectacular success from many perspectives, but a relatively poor performer during recent days for smaller portfolios (law of large numbers, sort of) because other investments offered better daily percentage profit.
A number of smaller points likely held SPID8 despite its meager overnight returns, so putting that H$Spidey cash to good use is an acute issue for many newer traders today. If you have developed reliable methods of identifying short-term profit opportunities, rely on your experience. If you have not, however, here are a couple of candidates to consider:
First, Turning Red has been announced as a streamer; you learned that (or could have) by reading the Movies message board. TURED has plummeted for days but gravity is not finished with this one. Today, it’s already down roughly 30 percent.
Second, A Journal For Jordan is approaching the end of its line; it opened a few weeks ago, has failed to reward HSX pricing expectations, and will delist (at actual box office after four weekends in theaters) relatively soon. Compare the current trading price with its trajectory (check boxofficemojo.com) and consider how JFJOR compares with other investments you might consider.
Third, recognize the attribute those two points have in common. Shorting is indispensable to any successful portfolio strategy
Fourth, information from this special edition will not be on the test.
Fifth, and it is troubling that we must repeat this one, you should start drinking heavily.
Respectfully submitted,
This second day January 2022,
Sen. John Blutarsky, Sergeant-At-Arms, Delta Tau Chi
