I was inactive for about 10 years and came back at the onset of the pandemic
Posted by: tmbinc on Dec 05, 04:32 in response to TBone2's post Question about unused ports
since I had much more time at home. I had to figure out a way to get into a COMPUSERVE email address I had not used in over a decade no less. I had no idea what my portfolio looked like nor how to fix it but I had the time and put it back together. During this time, movie stocks no longer adjusted on Sundays after box office numbers were released which just made sense to me. I rebuilt my bond portfolio and snapped up every mutual fund, easy and slow growth. When I left, about 2006, I was in the top 100 overall and had slid to about 400 I think. This morning, I saw that I was now up to 276 and should be 274 or better by the weekend. The game is fun again and I no longer dread Tuesdays and my star bonds adjusting, I take five minutes when I get home before heading to the gym..
Question about unused ports TBone2 Dec 01, 20:00
Ports don't actually get 'Deleted" - they get Renamed with all Securities fully intact for Stock Exchange Integrity. {nm} RotoHockeyYTD2014 Dec 01, 21:40
There is no such thing as an "Unused' Port - Unused denotes Never Used. Inactive Ports remain Inactive Ports but can be Activated by Trading {nm} RotoHockeyYTD2014 Dec 01, 21:42
Inactive Ports can Lose Securities via Delist CashOut. {nm} RotoHockeyYTD2014 Dec 01, 21:45
