The buzz on [TOURI] was getting pretty bad. The trailer for [NARN3] was terrible - utterly incoherent. I had no idea what the plot was, and only a vague notion of who the characters were after watching it. It was a random series of flashy CGI shots. The studio seems like they are depending on the brand name to sell the movie. Which is silly, because the series is well-known, but it's also comparatively old, and many people haven't read it for years. I remember that the series was not chronological, like, say, Harry Potter, but skipped around a lot. That means each movie has to be resold, and reintroduced to the audience. Apparently the studio doesn't realize that.

This is true for NARN3 but not for TOURI. MTC predicted 19 for TOURI's OW, boxofficefollower.com said 16.5 and LA Times said "under 20". {nm} RogerMore Dec 13, 07:45
