Anyone have any thoughts as to why the DTV horror market dried up? It must have done well before; the market was flooded with them

Even Lionsgate has pretty much stopped its DTV horror films, with the exception of the After Dark and Ghost House Underground stuff. How big of a role do you think piracy has played in changing the landscape of the DTV market?

its not a huge mystery - its a function of the dvd market collapsing. less shelf space, so less room for DTV. Moviesnob May 08, 12:27
