How about just taking a breather? I've done that a couple of times
Basically didn't play for several months at a stretch. Of course, then it feels weird when you start playing again, because you have a lot of cleanup work to do on your port. You find stocks that you don't own because you missed the IPO; stocks that you are holding long have dropped through the floor. But it can be done.
