I saw the footage at Comic-Con and on Avatar Day - This movie is everything it promises . . .
Avatar [AVATR] seems to be a believe-it-when-you-see-it film, and I am definately a true believer now that I have seen this beautiful footage. The audience was so enthusiastic about 16 minutes of footage that 85% of them lined up to buy first-day midnight showing tickets for Decemeber.
I have to chide Cameron for the weak trailer released online; it falters because it shows too much too quick and doesn't give viewers the capability to appreciate the charachters. But watching the footage in person really demonstrates the beauty of this film. Avatar is a triumph.
