It was intended at one point as an Antonio Bandaras vehicle, which the author was thrilled about. He's who she had in mind for Emilio all along. However, that ship has definitely sailed, and Pitt's no better. It'll be interesting to see if the beast is made, and it's curious why they've waited so long. I agree, it has the potential to make a hell of a lot of money, with a thoroughly original and entertaining story.
