That seemed interesting to me; I hadn't thought about whether how often you had movies for kids without kids.

So much of how a mass audience film functions pivots on the audience having a clear proxy / representative within the imaginary world of the film. I never saw the TV program, so I can't say whether the films behave like little blue adults, or whether they are good proxies for kids.

I guess it depends on what qualifies as "kids" movie. Tangled and How to Train your Dragon didn't have kids in them. {nm} Juiced Jul 29, 08:31
