I personally feel its foolish to think this movie won't get made. Perhaps it will get pushed back to 2013 or even 2014. But they will work
on trimming the budget. Variety indicates the film isn't cancelled but being retooled to lower production cost. Its not like Depp and Verbinkski are commanding $100 million themselves. And LONER shouldn't be a CGI heavy movie here. This is a western. Load it up with some popcorn flick action and it will appeal for kids to adults. Disney can easily turn this into another Pirates franchise. The first Pirates film had a production budget of $140 million.
