i would think theyd be wrong to compare to a sport ppv; those are bought because of the live factor, the draws involved, the immediacy vital
to enjoying a live sport event, etc.
you pay $40 for something like delahoya v mayweather, not paul blart :D
i do like the idea of movies at home. being able to buy The Escapist for 6.99 at home, when no theater in my are had it, was a great deal. but i doubt many families would buy a movie a month after its release date for 40, when all they have to do it wait another month for dvd for 15, or rental for $3 or less
