Personally I don't really care what he does in his personal life.
Yes, he is a "star" in Hollywood, and because of that people automatically start layering "standards" of behaviour that he should live up to (that they don't themselves, most of the time), but he is still a person, with likes and dislikes, and throws temper tantrums now and again, etc. People have to learn to just let a person be themselves. Sure, some of his behaviour was distasteful and offensive to some, but it appears that he has learned from that behaviour, so everyone should give the guy a break. I personally would love to watch this in the cinemas when/if it comes to fruition, because I actually like him as an actor and director. So I would definitely pay for a Gibson movie.
