above 1 - meaning you should get 1% of your investment back each day (on average). My first post sort of disagrees with this strategy because you'll end up spending a lot of time making small short-term trades. I prefer to only trade the larger adjust swings because I place a value on making as few trades as possible.

slow news day, how's a guy supposed to make H$$ {nm} autobot66 Oct 05, 07:56

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are StarBonds days! Thank Dude and KaiGee! {nm} PRodQuanta Oct 05, 08:00

i never play starbonds, don't like them {nm} autobot66 Oct 05, 08:14

You're missing out on easy money then... {nm} slappydavid Oct 05, 08:17

what is there not to like? a little math is involved and sure profits will follow... you are missing out if you are not playing them. Oleg Max Oct 05, 08:17

money not fast enough, don't like sitting back and waiting. {nm} autobot66 Oct 05, 08:28

look for opportunities in the next 3 months. allocate a portion of your port for bonds. you won't regret it... {nm} Oleg Max Oct 05, 08:38

i don't see huge profits from starbonds, don't see how its positive. {nm} autobot66 Oct 05, 08:45

It seems that there's usually not as much money to be made in Starbonds as hitting big on stocks, but there's also the benefit... Ruthian23 Oct 05, 08:54

If you had invested in DMART on Monday, by Tuesday you would've made $169,000 off a $360,000 investment. That's an awesome rate of return. stevie1der328 Oct 05, 08:58

Well some make more money than others. I agree that playing the % DROI game can yield relatively small profits - shorting a $1 starbond that bloopster Oct 05, 09:08

speaking of DROI...what's the best formula for it? I've found a few. Have had to just go off of ROI up to now... {nm} funnybillypro Oct 05, 09:48

I think your math for calculating DROI is wrong. The formula you are using is a compounding interest formula. DROI isn't that complex bloopster Oct 05, 16:55

DROI is essentially a compound interest problem... theun4gven Oct 06, 10:13

Not sure if you'll see this but.... bloopster Oct 06, 15:45

I look ahead, but if you want to, there's usually cash to be made (usually a little, sometimes a lot) right up until bonds halt Ruthian23 Oct 05, 08:49

Easy money maybe (if you care to put in a little time) but not much fun. Personally, I wish they'd get rid of them. WHAAAA? :) {nm} amnesiac Oct 05, 09:01

Don't want to have to pay so much attention to STARBONDS for little 169 K Profits. {nm} autobot66 Oct 05, 09:06

no offense, autobot66, but it looks like your port was started back in 2000 and I am not sure Oleg Max Oct 05, 09:15

I have taken of years at a time from this game. of those 11 years only truly played 4-5 on and off {nm} autobot66 Oct 05, 09:23

Look if you want to invest 30 mill in a 2012 summer blockbuster right now and hope to get a million in profits by Christmas, be my guest. stevie1der328 Oct 05, 09:18

OK have 333 Mill sitting around Ill dive into startbonds and see what happens {nm} autobot66 Oct 05, 10:24

Remember when everyone was screaming "My port is bleeding red" for a couple weeks. Those weeks I was part of the top 100 traders... skamanfu Oct 05, 09:40

If u just concentrate on news, u are just having a piece of the pie, every dollar counts if u wanna make serious dough {nm} karspov Oct 05, 09:10

I'm with autot66 on this one. Muad' Dib Oct 05, 09:38

I wish, at the very least, we had seperate leaderboards for both moviestocks and starbonds in addition to one based on total net worth. {nm} amnesiac Oct 05, 10:17

Great idea! {nm} Muad' Dib Oct 05, 11:09
