That's pretty strong for DMETH

Tangentially related: I just looked at the box office on Cronenberg's last two and WOW... had no recollection of HoV doing $30m & EP $17m

I was surprised at how good VMORT was in DMETH. He upends every cliche about Freud while delivering a fully complex character.

Not for one of the busiest moviegoing days of the year... it averaged less than ARTST with a bigger name cast and director.

The Artist has had a lot more hype. I didn't even know that Dangerous Method had opened and I'm a Cronenberg fanboy.

Yes... a movie that has more hype and is marketed better will do better business. Not sure I understand your argument

DMETH is looking at $38K+ PTA in 4 theaters, and if we look at the history of all films who have done this in at least 4 theaters on OW

I think competition wil have a huge impact against DMETH in the coming weeks: Carnage, Tinker Tailor, Shame, Kevin, etc
