All what you say is true of course but it all bears no relevance to 95% of all registered traders and none at all to the ultimate purpose and goal of HSX to predict futures. I loved comm free but I can totally see their desire to kill it.
When I used to follow the LTD xml feed very closely power traders would reap $20-$30million in a weekend from playing bounces and playing the market as a whole. It created hierarchies of traders and made it very fun for those of us who could embrace it and incredibly frustrating for others. This move levels the playing field and makes making H$ that much harder as it stands.
Th problem HSX has is how to balance a working futures market with as accurate data as possible, while making it fun for traders. Remains to be seen if this vanilla HSX will be viable for traders and their data integrity together.
