The metric has a complicated formula that takes into consideration the amount of money made over the last week, the rate at which you have been making money the last 2 weeks, and your port size. The metric tries to rank you as a trader. For example, it is easier to make more money if you have a large port than if you have a small port. However, that doesn't mean people with large ports who made more money over the week neccessarily were better traders.
