20.45 only evening showing.
Snack: 1 free Lion candy bar for everyone. Drink: one 4 euro beer during break.
Seats: 1030, about 500 occupied. Audience 75% female, 75% u-16, some parents with u-13 kids, one 40+ heterosexual single male who likes women his own age. That was weird. First standing in line, later during the movie. I thought it was quite violent sometimes, but the crowd seemed more shocked by the scenes involving romance. And then there was some shy applause at the end (rare here).
Not having read the books, I quite liked the movie, the directing and the acting. Especially Jennifer Lawrence. She is an amazing talent.
The first half seemed a bit fragmented to me, like I had to fill some holes, due to the adaptation. But that's ok. What really bothered me was the shaky cam, like osmosis mentioned below. I hate that, having walked out of three Dogma movies. I get the point, but why overdo it so, just to show why you do it? It is just annoying to watch. Well, at least it wasn't 3D.
This movie made me want to go see the sequels, but tomorrow I'll watch Winters Bone again. My favorite 2010 movie. It's better than Hunger Games and Jennifer Lawrence is even better in it.
