No I haven't, and I don't intend to. But having read other books that have been translated into film, I can say with absolute certainty

that there are always scenes/locations/characters etc that the producers of the movie leave out that are by far eagerly anticipated by those who have read the books before, and this will be no different. I'm saying that if the fans of the book hear about certain scenes being cut to achieve an R rating it may damper the box office, because some die-hard fans may choose not to see the movie, instead waiting for the DVD to come out to get the deleted scenes, hoping that those scenes are there.

Game of Thrones is toned down significantly from its book counterpart, the show is booming. An R-rated version of this will be fine. MiyazakiFan Jun 17, 18:19
