someone help me...I'm looking at ERC's FB page...where does it say it includes middies? {nm}

Posted by: tealfan on Jul 04, 09:51 in response to grammar's post ERC FB: confirms the #35m INCLUDES the $7.5m middies.

ERC:Sony's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN had the best Tuesday debut ever, tingling audiences w/ $35M. hsxmetrics.com Jul 04, 08:12

ERC FB: confirms the #35m INCLUDES the $7.5m middies. grammar Jul 04, 08:41

so technically it isn't the best tuesday ever, since Transformers had 36.65 including middies. {nm} hsxmetrics.com Jul 04, 08:51

But it's the best tuesday ever from a movie reboot with spiders!!) {nm} billy Jul 04, 08:54

Transformers started at 8 pm on Monday so The Amazing Spiderman has set the biggest Tuesday ever. (Link inside) fourstars Jul 04, 09:00

SPID4 had 8:00 showings here Monday night too. {nm} ryancoke2 Jul 04, 09:52

Actually, Transformers opened on Monday evening, go to Boxofficemojo and it'll tell you $8.8m counted for Monday. {nm} austpow Jul 04, 09:01

So close {nm} austpow Jul 04, 09:01

According to THR's SPID4 article, TFORM made 8.8 for Monday previews, and 13.5 for preview+midnights, so 4.7 middies. Paul2k Jul 04, 09:13

Which would seem to indicate that TFORM's tuesday numbers INCLUDE midnights, while the 8.8 Monday #s are before midnights. {nm} Paul2k Jul 04, 09:14

my head hurts {nm} tealfan Jul 04, 09:29

That's correct, which means the Tues-to-Wed jump w/o midnight is actually bigger, boding well for Spider-Man today {nm} xiayun Jul 04, 10:06

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz {nm} mrbinns Jul 04, 08:51

I didn't see anything addressing that directly either, but this comment from ERC, seems to imply it. elchan Jul 04, 09:54

BO confirms that Tue's numbers include middies in their analysis of Tuesday's box office. Paul2k Jul 04, 09:57

Wow imagine what the batguy will do !!! {nm} JMT-NL Jul 04, 09:24

Break Spiderman's arms? {nm} Paul2k Jul 04, 09:55

Um, Spiderman actually has super powers. Batman, wears a spiffy rubber suit and cape. {nm} elchan Jul 04, 10:04

If Batman can take down the entire Justice League, including Supes, he can take care of silly little Spiderman. {nm} Paul2k Jul 04, 10:11

Note: In Marvel vs DC... Batman was paired up against Capt America.... Spiderman was paired up against Superboy RazorHawk Jul 04, 10:27

Simply from a powers pov that makes sense. But, I don't dispute that Batman is more cunning than Spiderman, who's more brute force.. {nm} elchan Jul 04, 10:38

Batman's money versus everyone else's powers {nm} tealfan Jul 04, 11:07

Does anyone remember what the anticipation level for Transformers 1 was like? The Fri-Sun number for Spidey is the real prize this week... BayStreet Jul 04, 09:24

The anticipation level for Transformers was quite high, and WOM was strong - among people who wanted to see a film about giant robots {nm} RogerMore Jul 04, 09:44
