Chriqui tees up 'Million Dollar Man'
Thesp to play love interest in indie sports comedy
Emmanuelle Chriqui has landed her biggest post-"Entourage" feature role yet, as the thesp is in final talks to star opposite Luke Wilson in the indie sports comedy "Million Dollar Man."
Announced at Sundance, the project focuses on a down-on-his-luck route driver (Wilson) for a soda company who's given a second chance in life as a football kicker. Chriqui, best known for playing Sloan McQuewick on HBO's "Entourage," will play the love interest who helps whip Wilson's character into shape and guides him to redemption.
Also coming aboard is comedian Bobby Lee, who will play the nemesis.
Todd Slater of Slater Brothers Entertainment is producing along with John Gatpandan, Alex Schrader and Anderson Hinsch of Portofino Pictures. Scott Marshall, son of Garry Marshall, is directing from a script by Schrader.
