Oh how we love the Jeeper Creeper movies and the constant rumors of the third films release date. The latest Creeper movie has a name, a synopsis and now apparently a release date if you believe the scooper that just contacted us on an earlier post.
He states that Jeepers Creepers 3 : Cathedral is set to be released into theaters on June 1st 2013. As much as I love the Jeeper Creeper movies and I felt the need to share this bit of news since I know I am not alone in my love for the films I am not holding my breath. He even goes on to say that his source is a member of the production team and that they are already planning a Jeepers Creepers 4.
Back in 2011 we heard that the film was shooting on the Universal lot when the creepers truck was spotted on the backlot and since then there has been absolutely no word what soever. Why are we even talking about this when the source is far from verified? Because I love Jeepers Creepers and I think I am not alone and perhaps the more we talk about this film we can help push the film forward and towards its inevitable release.
Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral is being directed by Victor Salva and will see Jeepers Creepers 2 star Ray Wise return as will Jonathon Breck who plays the creeper and Gina Phillips who played the surviving big sister Patricia Jenner in the first movie.
Jeepers Creepers 3 has ties to both the first and second film but also brings in a brand new angle as it goes back to the Wild West and brings in a Native American folklore angle.
A portion of Jeepers Creepers 3 will focus on the character of Trish Jenner from the first film who has a son and names him after her brother Daryly who was murdered by the creeper. Jeepers Creepers 3 will reportedly show off the origins of the creeper but segway’s into a revenge angle as Patricia Jenner sets out to take down the creeper and avenge her brothers death.
