I wanted numbers mixed with reason

Posted by: evwarsh on Nov 11, 10:06 in response to adrenalin112's post if you point was that the numbers could be wrong, then...

Just saying "TWILIGHT RULZZZ I LOVE VAMPIRES IT GOINGTO MAKE 100000000$$$$$$" isnt going to convince me of anything.

Your post did.  Numbers/logic.  I still see movies on here that are overvalued all the time.  I am assuming people make their choices based on the presale numbers/other info.  I assume the presales for A Chirstmas Charol, This Is It, Where the Wild Things Are and other (i just cant remember), had decent presales to justify there over $100 hsx price.  They all bombed.  I just started playing this game a few months ago, but it seems like all the "blockbusters" underperform.

Either way thanks for the only real reply.

From my not so scientific analysis I do not believe The Twilight Saga: New Moon [TWLI2] is worth $237.61 evwarsh Nov 11, 08:36

Yes, you are missing something, this thing has massive presales and will have a huge OW {nm} clonewars Nov 11, 08:46

well This Is It had huge presales and it tanked (in HSX $$ - I know it made lots in the the real world). evwarsh Nov 11, 08:49

the comparison is not even close to valid. never underestimate the collective buying power of teenage girls. {nm} click999 Nov 11, 08:50

Well the last movie the HSX users seemed to overestimate the collective buying power of teenage girls - by a lot evwarsh Nov 11, 08:54

lol I realized after i posted it some people wouldnt get it - I was comparing it to the first twilight movie. evwarsh Nov 11, 09:07

how about transformers? Twilight on dvd/blu ray sold more copies over the first two weeks than Transformers 2 {nm} Moviesnob Nov 11, 09:12

Compare LOTR 1, to 2 to 3. Batman Begins to TDK, etc., Spider-Man 1 to 2, Pirates 1 to 2, MiyazakiFan Nov 11, 09:18

wow, glad adrenalin112 is keeping the forums classy 'round here. {nm} skamanfu Nov 11, 09:11

hsx needs to scribble him and ban the f word islander Nov 11, 09:30

hsx needs to provide an option to turn the filters off for those that dont have sand in the vaj. {nm} adrenalin112 Nov 11, 09:43

twilight's presales have been stronger than jacko's. {nm} adrenalin112 Nov 11, 08:59

if we went "just by numbers", records wouldnt be broken. "numbers" dont account for what iron man & TDK did. {nm} adrenalin112 Nov 11, 09:01

im not a fan of twilight either. but ive actually dug much deeper on this than you have & done some research/polling. adrenalin112 Nov 11, 08:58

There are a group of women (25-40) in my office going to a midnight screening MiyazakiFan Nov 11, 09:20

thank you for an actual response - with numbers and logic. evwarsh Nov 11, 09:24

if you point was that the numbers could be wrong, then why did you repeatedly ask us to "show you numbers"? adrenalin112 Nov 11, 09:51

I wanted numbers mixed with reason evwarsh Nov 11, 10:06

PRESALES adrenalin112 Nov 11, 10:37

don't know why you've got to have others do your research for you - sounds like your mind is already made up. {nm} click999 Nov 11, 15:11
