Destroyed the Krypton ship and the world-builder right there. End of Zod's plan to terraform Earth into Krypton.
But all of this pales before the idiotic decision to take Krypton's worst criminals and send them off planet seconds before the planet explodes. WTF?
And why does Kryptonian USB technology still work after 20,000 years? We've got incompatible storage technologies from TEN years ago! In 20,000 years, do we REALLY believe they're going to have 8-track players you can hook the latest technology to?
Whole plot was ludicrous.
Superman could have EASILY negotiated with Zod for the Codex AND teh super-embryos and had Zod go to a different system to terraform and rebuild their society. Zod's stated mission was to continue the Kryptonian race. Logically, it did not really matter WHERE it was continued.
Even Jor-El's hologram should have been easily able to reason that since Krypton was no more, Zod's idea was pretty much on the money and would be OK to proceed with - JUST NOT ON EARTH.
After all the destruction to the planet and Metropolis, I can't imagine Superman being happily received by humanity. They would fear him even MORE than he or Jonathan Kent thought!
Superman's actions (and complete inability to come up with any plan whatsoever), directly led to the death of MILLIONS of earthlings, probablhy in Metropolis alone.
Wow, great story guys. Am not looking forward to the next one.
