I would think this project is high profile enough for it to be at least 1 or 2 additions which "justify" a casting announcement.
I wouldn't expect one for Method Man but I have a hard time imaging Sandler and McCarthy not adding a few notable indie actors.
I know that announcements can come after filming commenced too but "bigger names" typically get out beforehand. No big deal, I'm just surprised that it didn't happen with this movie.
