English that'll make it somewhat, if not considerably more marketable.
That trailer also has the Warner Bros. intro, but that may be the same as The Artist dynamic where Warner Bros. distributed that movie in France (again, per Wiki and I assume IMDb would say the same if checked). Much of this The Search trailer is French subtitles, the English scenes with Bening but also some where the language is something other than English or French, perhaps Chechen.
Anyway, when I first saw Oleg's post this morning I thought it was like 90% of these "It has a photo!" or "It has a poster!" things that just artificially spikes a limited-release stock and only comes all the way back down again, allowing the half million or million or whatever profit for those living here every day.
But then when I looked at it and realized The Artist pedigree via the director (and his wife who stars in The Search), and read up on the 1948 movie and connections there (especially the director -- High Noon's one of my favorite movies) I could see it at least potentially doing decent box office. How it does at Cannes wil be important to its prospects, so we should know soon.
