I haven't watched any of the Hobbit movies. He has done the opposite of what he did so well in LOTR triology.

The triology was so amazing because it brought the spirit of the books to life. He took one book and has made a triology of that. And on top of that, he has brought characters that weren't even in the original into the movies (Legalos)! I have heard that he used inspirations from Tolkien's other writings but he has tried to do too much. I guess I should get around to giving the first one a shot some day.
