Halt Time Stupidity

Posted by: Mealticket on Aug 09, 11:32

So I stopped playing this game for a few years and recently game back.  I just noticed this weekend the Saturday evening halt time.  How stupid.  How can anyone ever miss out playing an opener now?  I mean once you have the Friday numbers and any  midnight numbers you know by Sat morning what the movie is going to do.....  Kind of takes away the whole point, doesn't it?

Yes it does {nm} loslobos Aug 09, 11:34

that's what .ow is for {nm} Oleg Max Aug 09, 11:39

Time change. Time move on {nm} mike255 Aug 09, 11:48

I'm sure HSX is aware of the reduction of mystery & risk...it's common sense...yet they kept halt time like this for years...why?... tealfan Aug 09, 12:23

Noticed the same...that and the big IPOs on Saturday...guess site traffic was highest M-F during work hours... {nm} JustaGuy Aug 09, 12:36

... iirc, this was the exact reason given ... increase Saturday traffic in stocks without the distortions caused by commish-free .... BC Aug 09, 13:15

sour grapes of wrath eh {nm} JPS13 Aug 09, 12:34

Completely agree. OW is not enough. Also bring back BW to the beginning of the season {nm} vadym Aug 09, 12:36

But under this system we get more BWs, which is great. My personal suggestion is that the strike price be lowered, and the IPO price raised RogerMore Aug 09, 13:00

Get over it blaze223 Aug 09, 12:47

Ask for your money back. I didn't like it at first, but now with the .ow and the stock there are even more opportunities to make fake money. {nm} ryancoke2 Aug 09, 12:49

The sites is try to make money. If u don't like don't play. {nm} mike255 Aug 09, 13:07

A summary of peoples responses to my original post earlier today...... Mealticket Aug 09, 14:25

you missed - it helps keep the site operational by having more traffic on Sat {nm} Moviesnob Aug 09, 14:27

This and the big IPOs are the only reasons I come in on saturdays... {nm} slappydavid Aug 09, 16:30

I agree with you. I liked the old version better, it was more gut wrenching on Saturdays when you realized if you played it right or wrong. {nm} BelizeIt Aug 10, 10:12

Good Lord.. THis isn't anything that new.. Been like this for a while. LET IT GO... {nm} Dorfman Aug 09, 16:49

I second the Good Lord and LET IT GO {nm} aaronl5 Aug 09, 20:04

On a very front loaded movie, you can still screw the pooch with a Saturday halt. I know, I've done it enough :( {nm} davmoo Aug 09, 20:30

I like the game as it plays now..., but .... JMT-NL Aug 10, 09:16

I loved... JMT-NL Aug 10, 09:18

You still can, just with 1% less clean money. :) {nm} DTravel Aug 10, 10:08

yup {nm} Beaker Aug 10, 13:00
