IFC Films has set Sundance entry "In the Loop," with James Gandolfini, which premieres in theaters on July 24, to also preem on cable video-on-demand this month.
Political comedy, which is gathering favorable buzz, drew comparisons with "The Office" when it preemed at Sundance.
Nia Vardalos' directing debut, "I Hate Valentine's Day," which bowed in limited theatrical release Friday, is also available this month on VOD.
Through IFC Festival Direct, IFC will premiere several pics from the fest circuit on VOD this month including British romantic comedy "Faintheart," the first user-generated film cast through MySpace; Canadian comedy "Mothers and Daughters"; and Bernard Rose's "The Kreutzer Sonata," with Danny Huston.
IFC genre pics bowing via VOD this month include sci-fi thriller "Before the Fall," Italian mystery "The Girl by the Lake" and horror titles "The Disappeared" and "The Uninvited."
