My simple rule. Play a stock in the direction it's moving. If a stock is losing money, short it or dump it. Going up? Buy it.
Don't be stubborn and hold a sinking stock based on what profit you think it could make 2-3 years from now. The money you keep losing could be making you money somewhere else. You don't want to see any long term red anywhere in your portfolio.
