the explanation you are looking for...

It was announced that TRON3 was not moving forward, so players dumped their longs causing the price to move downwards.

Other players sold their longs and invested short (knowing the price would go downwards).  Selling longs and shorting causes the price to move downwards.

The price went downwards for a while.

Many players at HSX have smaller ports and are always needing to free up money to invest in thingys.

The smaller ports started covering their shorts to free up money.  Covering causes the price to move upwards.

-PLAYING THE PLAYERS-

The smaller ports started dumping their shares, and the experienced players saw this and flipped their investments back to longs.  Covering shorts and investing long causes price to move upwards.

As the price started moving upwards, medium sized ports saw their profits start to shrink so they either dumped their shares or flipped long, causing the price to rise.

As the price went higher, more ports noticed and dumped their shares or invested long.

Eventually, the smaller sized ports that invested long will end up dumping their shares to free up money and that will cause the price to go down, and expereinced investors will notice and flip back short, causing the price to go further down, other people will dump or flip.....

The cycle continues up and down, back and forth, losing momentum with each swing until the change is no longer profitable and players go play with a new stock.

(You can look at the graphs on a stock page and see which ones have a history of bouncing up and down)

Traders probably decided to take profits and/or reset trading. - and your post should not have been tagged for just a price questiion {nm} JDolphin May 31, 03:10

Apologies, I'm still new to this. {nm} hyperzeitgeist May 31, 03:20

It's a legitimate question, just an incorrect forum. Prices move in crazy ways all the time. {nm} FalseLight May 31, 05:58

I can't reset trade, so I always wake up to things like this. It starts to make you zen about the whole process. {nm} Biff68 May 31, 07:12

people here like to 'play the players'. With something like this situation it's silly. {nm} tradermark May 31, 03:33

TRON3 was never "greenlit" officially in the first place... so it was easy to pull the plug... Chateau_du_Mal_Voisin May 31, 05:21

Yeah, it's ridiculous and a dangerous way to play - one has to babysit the stock when playing players. {nm} RollingThunder May 31, 06:54

How is it playing the players? If the movie never gets made the stock won't the stock revert to zero eventually? hyperzeitgeist May 31, 07:22

Eventually perhaps, but that could be a very, very long time. It's playing the players because most players aren't willing to wait that long Raven9167 May 31, 07:26

You also seem to assume that the rise in price is from people going long. Not necessarily (inside) Raven9167 May 31, 07:28

Number of shares held long +4M, number held short -5M (approx) {nm} ~JPV~ May 31, 07:33

adjusts & cashouts are what keep the price 'honest'. If the adjust isn't happening for years.. andy007 May 31, 08:39

the explanation you are looking for... RazorHawk May 31, 07:38

i agree...the real telling sign will be when all of the Celebstocks are detached and it turns to Concept. {nm} Buy StarBonds Fund May 31, 08:02

That's such a helpful response! {nm} PiercingWhisper May 31, 08:22

Yes, thankyou :) {nm} hyperzeitgeist May 31, 08:57

Spot on analysis. Making a bundle on it too :-) {nm} JMT-NL May 31, 09:23

And the beauty of it...; it will never happen ( That film being made i mean ) {nm} SequelsFund May 31, 09:26
