Movies

I really, really like it. Was not bored at any moment and Fassbender and Winslet were awesome, but...

Posted by: alfjox (a.k.a del_KRF_alfjox) on Nov 30, 11:03 in response to lobogotti's post man I really loved Steve Jobs. glad to see someone gave...

My only concern was the objective of the film. I mean, why does it only focus in those specific moments? Is the idea to trash the memory of Steve Jobs showing him as such a despicable person? I don't know anything about him as a person, haven't read anything about him so I was really thinking if he was like that. The dialogue is fast-paced (as almost everything with Aaron Sorkin) and was interesting to know those moments in his life but in the end I kept thinking why does this film exists?

Spy (A)...Into the Storm (B) {nm} tealfan Nov 30, 09:18

Spy B. Why are there so many Brits in the CIA? Needed more Morena Baccarin, felt like her subplot was cut. {nm} Antibody Nov 30, 10:05

I thought they were at the London station...maybe I jumped to a conclusion...and yeah why even have Morena there to do hardly anything {nm} tealfan Nov 30, 12:06

American Ultra (C+), Ant-Man (B), Momentum (C-) {nm} ~JPV~ Nov 30, 09:18

Creed (A), Terminator Genisys (F-), Shaun the Sheep (B) {nm} shaunwins Nov 30, 09:29

why do so many people not like Genisys? I saw it and thought it was pretty good {nm} captainadam_21 Nov 30, 09:34

Plot was as clear as mud, and Emelia Clarke is a terrible actress and was horribly miscast as Sarah Connor. {nm} shaunwins Nov 30, 09:36

+1 {nm} RamsFan2004 Nov 30, 09:38

I actually thought Emelia was decent compared to whatever those two dudes names were captainadam_21 Nov 30, 09:52

Well they were awful too, but I could only fit so much text into my reply, lol! {nm} shaunwins Nov 30, 09:55

Linda Hamilton was 27 in Terminator 1... Emilia Clarke is 29... and yet Emilia looks like a little girl by comparison {nm} RamsFan2004 Nov 30, 09:55

it was Linda's sweet 80s hair that made her look so old {nm} captainadam_21 Nov 30, 10:18

Well she also played a grown woman very convincingly {nm} RamsFan2004 Nov 30, 10:35

Terminator Genisys (B-), Shawn the Sheep (fell asleep in the first 10mins..but wife says A-) Bleachigo Nov 30, 13:09

Creed (A), The Revenant (A-), Son of Saul (A-), Trumbo (C) {nm} skamanfu Nov 30, 09:30

Annoyed with how much of the plot the Revenant has given away in the trailer. Feel like I've already seen the film. {nm} shaunwins Nov 30, 09:32

good point. seeing 2 minutes of footage is exactly like sitting through a 2 hour movie {nm} slipping jimmy Nov 30, 09:58

The plot is paper thin, but it is the most beautiful movie I've seen this year. Also, Leo should be able to finally grab that Oscar. skamanfu Nov 30, 09:59

Sorry... Didnt see you memtioning ROOM as well ( Great film ) The mention of the two sleeping pills clouded my vision {nm} jmt-nl Nov 30, 13:14

I can see how Sorrentino isn't to everyone's taste. But for me, it fires on all cylinders: its locations, its soundtrack, its editing. . . second gary Nov 30, 13:26

Godfather III is turrrrible slipping jimmy Nov 30, 11:35

I think it's underrated. It's a pretty decent film. It's got an unwarranted reputation. No, it's not as good as the first two; that's it. {nm} goodvibe61 Nov 30, 11:46

it's really not. it's just bad {nm} slipping jimmy Nov 30, 11:49

It definitely has an unwarranted reputation. Not as good as first two as goodvibe says, but definitely not turrible. {nm} Dorfman. Nov 30, 13:16
