Cable in the Deadpool sequel is guaranteed based on the end credit sequence. The series Cable & Deadpool was really where Deadpool became a breakout star (even though it never sold all that well but was like the Guardians of the Galaxy - something everyone liked but never bought), since they balance each other out. There's only so much Deadpool you can take.
Introducing Cable like they did in New Mutants comics as a mysterious bad-a** from the future on a mission but little known about who he was, and then eventually explaning his origin much later in his own film(because it is confusing and complicated).
With Scott and Jean only as teens in X-Men Apocalypse, the question is do they wait for Nathan Christopher to be born, or bring back Famke Janssen and James Marsden as his parents in future flashback? And do they change Nate's mom from Madelyne Pryor to Jean Grey? Jean's death in X-Men Last Stand actually did set-up bringing in Madelyne.
