One of my favorite books as a kid but I wonder how well it will translate to a big budget film. It's been over 20 years since I've read the book so I had to read a plot synopsis to bring myself back up to speed (to an extent), but it seems like this will be an absolute beast to turn into something that isn't overly cheap looking. From what Google tells me, Ava Duvarnay is going to direct this adaptation which is an impressive get.
Not trying to influence the price or affect how people trade the IPO, just start a conversation. I hope it turns out wonderfully because it's a great story. The Christian themes are definitely a net bonus in this era of film but I wonder if she'll tone things down to be a bit less religious?
