Metropolis was completely rebuilt in just 18 months after all the destruction caused in Man of Steel.

Why does news reporter Clark Kent have no idea who billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne is?

17 infuriating, logic-defying plot holes in 'Batman v Superman' {Spoilers} JustaGuy Mar 28, 14:07

Those aren't plotholes. {nm} Antibody Mar 28, 14:09

Ok, how about "goof-ups" {nm} JustaGuy Mar 28, 14:26

Not even that. Most are nitpicks. {nm} Antibody Mar 28, 14:34

Most of the destroyed area was turned into a park around the ship. Bruce Wayne doesn't go over to Metropolis. {nm} Antibody Mar 28, 14:59

I've never been to Redmond, WA but I know who Bill Gates is ( and I'm neither a reporter nor super) {nm} islander Mar 28, 15:03

Wayne is probably more like Larry Ellison. ;) It's plausible that Wayne hasn't been in the news during the 18 months. {nm} Antibody Mar 28, 15:08

Wayne name is on all his buildings/businesses, so more like Trump?! {nm} islander Mar 28, 15:19

yeah, misogynistic dickhole {nm} slipping jimmy Mar 28, 15:22

Wayne is a recluse as inspired by Frank Miller's The Dark Knight. {nm} Antibody Mar 28, 15:24

i do think they are gonna have trouble with that logic in the larger DCU, starting with Joker in Suicide Squad Moviesnob Mar 28, 15:34

He was in Metropolis during the attack heroically saving people. There were news stories about it. {nm} CommonAnomaly Mar 28, 15:12

I don't recall any news stories about it. {nm} Antibody Mar 28, 15:17

And it would take more than 18 months to clear it all, design the park, build the memorial, and the statue. {nm} CommonAnomaly Mar 28, 15:15

Who is to say that Superman didn't help with the reconstruction? MiyazakiFan Mar 28, 15:59

yes it is. The key is to remember is its just a movie and only needs to follow its own internal logic. {nm} Moviesnob Mar 28, 16:11

It Follows was a good film, but didn't always follow its internal logic. I agree with QT on his criticism, as that film could have been epic lobogotti Mar 29, 04:39

RE: "Wayne Doesn't Go Over to Metropolis" Theory - What, he's not a "bridge and tunnel" guy? Is going to Metropolis slumming for Wayne? {nm} JustaGuy Mar 28, 15:40

I forgot the exact words, but there was a line in the movie regarding Wayne not frequenting Metropolis. {nm} Antibody Mar 28, 15:45

So he has offices there, but never goes, just his name is on the building.... #BruceWanyeTrump {nm} JustaGuy Mar 28, 15:50

Lex said something to him about it. {nm} Sorrannax Mar 28, 17:52

This is an absolutely terrible post by Mashable. A lot of these nitpicks are stupid too. One in particular (spoilers inside) MiyazakiFan Mar 28, 15:57

Just...really? {nm} JustaGuy Mar 28, 16:11

So Kryptonite dissolves in water? {nm} RamsFan2004 Mar 28, 17:06

It's established as radioactive, so it could be fissionable which would contaminate the water. There's a glimmer of science here. {nm} CommonAnomaly Mar 28, 18:12

I'm convinced. {nm} RamsFan2004 Mar 28, 18:51

If a radioactive rod is placed in water, what happens to the water as a whole? It's contaminated with radiation. MiyazakiFan Mar 28, 21:52

However... CommonAnomaly Mar 29, 08:17

I guess the "writer" was told by his Perry White to write somethaing and so he did this. {nm} eternal warrior Mar 29, 04:57

C'mon people.....these are just nitpicks. DiNar0 Mar 29, 21:03
